2D/3D by Yizi Zheng
Yizi Zheng is a Graphic Designer currently studying in London. Striving to bring paper to life, she is interested in the interactions between audience and the artwork being viewed.
2D/3D is a set of posters, each containing a three dimensional surface, but built from a single sheet of paper. They explore the notion that while such a surface can be viewed from different perspectives, a flat image imposed on it can only be viewed ‘correctly’ from a single point. Seen from any other angle and the image distorts.
They held my attention for ages - I found myself moving around each poster to see how the light and colour changed. It’s a challenge to stay still when looking at an image like this!
